A Message from Michael J Sullivan

Dear Readers,

Michael J. Sullivan, the author of the Riyria Revelations series asked me if I would spread word about a  free promotion from October 16th to October 18th 2012. As I like the series a lot I agreed to do that.

And that is what you get:

TWO SHORTS & TWO SAMPLES - FREE OCT 16 - OCT 18
In August 2013 the release of The Crown Tower will mark the publication of my second series. To celebrate the recent announcement, I'm expanding the bonus material for Greener Grass and making it free from October 16 - October 18. This file will contains the following:

Greener Grass (science fiction short)
The Viscount and the Witch (Riyria Chronical short)
Chapter one of Theft of Swords (Riyria Revelations)
Chapter one of The Crown Tower (Riyria Chronicles)

Greener Grass (5,600 words)
HE WANTED TO ESCAPE HIS PROBLEMS. HE WANTED TO SEE THE FUTURE. HE NEVER CONSIDERED WHAT THE FUTURE WANTED.
Confronted with suffering a painful death from cancer, Dan Sturges, a retired Ford’s engineer, foregoes treatments to try an idea of his own. After reading a theoretical article in Scientific American on time displacement, Dan builds a time machine in his garage. With nothing to lose but a few months of pain, Dan pins his hopes on a future where cancer might have been cured, or at least a quicker death by electrocution. How could he have known that what happens after he presses the button is more shocking than the eighteen car batteries he connected himself to?

The Viscount and the Witch (5,400 words)
HE WANTED TO TEACH HIS FRIEND A LESSON. HE BELIEVES NO GOOD DEED GOES UNPUNISHED. MAYBE HE WAS WRONG.
Eleven years before they were framed for the murder of a king, before even assuming the title of Riyria, Royce Melborn and Hadrian Blackwater were practically strangers. Unlikely associates, this cynical thief and idealist swordsman, were just learning how to work together as a team, and discovering which philosophy is the best to follow.

Theft of Swords (Riyria Revelations Sample Chapter)
THEY KILLED THE KING. THEY PINNED IT ON TWO MEN. THEY CHOSE POORLY.
There’s no ancient evil to defeat or orphan destined for greatness, just two guys in the wrong place at the wrong time. Royce Melborn, a skilled thief, and his mercenary partner, Hadrian Blackwater, are running for their lives when they’re framed for the death of the king. Trapped in a conspiracy that goes beyond the overthrow of a tiny kingdom, their only hope is unraveling an ancient mystery before it’s too late.

The Crown Tower (Riyria Chronicles Sample Chapter)
TWO MEN WHO HATE EACH OTHER. ONE IMPOSSIBLE MISSION. A LEGEND IN THE MAKING.
A warrior with nothing to fight for is paired with a thieving assassin with nothing to lose. Together they must steal a treasure that no one can reach. The Crown Tower is the impregnable remains of the grandest fortress ever built and home to the realm’s most valuable possessions. But it isn’t gold or jewels the old wizard is after, and this prize can only be obtained by the combined talents of two remarkable men. Now if Arcadias can just keep Hadrian and Royce from killing each other, they just might succeed.

I read The Viscount and the Witch before I started to read the Riyria Revelations series and wrote on GOODREADS:
" Absolutely mouth watering, promising, charming. It seems I "met" two new comrades."

So have a try ....

Thank you! There is no geo-restriction, so I can also download it free.

It's a little bit annoying when a (usualy US) blog announces books for 1-2USD at Amazon, and when I check it I see there is no any discount for those books in my country.

Hi Alex,

good to read that the pot has been helpful for you.

Hi Zoltan,

I made the same experience like you with books at Amazon.com.

There are a lot of books free on Amazon.com and you can't get them when you live in Europe. And when I look at Amaozon.de the books which are free on Amazon.com are not free on Amazon.de.
